Sustainably Managing Our Catchments - The Role of the Hydraulic Engineers, Planners and Managers

ECSA Cat 1 · IMESA25-SM44NAT

Sustainable water management from a catchment to a local scale is fundamental to the socio-economic development of South Africa, the safety of citizens and future climate change mitigation. Navigating this space is complex and requires strong engagement between local authorities, universities, and the engineering industry in order to develop and apply standard tools of practice. Through this workshop, we will present the latest knowledge in sustainable water management coupled with hands-on higher education experience to equip engineers, planners, and managers with the tools they need to solve the challenges they face in practice.
